My partner and i did a snowshoe safari last year. We returned this year with our three adult sons. Hondo made it so special again. His knowledge of nature is amazing. His kindness is heart warming. We all loved his sense of humour. What a wonderful day for our family and thank you Hondo. We will be back for a summer adventure. Dina B.
Winter wonderland doing a Guided Snowshoe Safari!
We did a Guided Snowshoe Safari! Hondo took us off the beaten path in Algonquin to untouched deep snow and over a lake! He checked that the ice was thick enough and always took safety precautions by checking the area ahead. We always felt safe knowing how prepared he was! He is so knowledgeable about the park and its’ plants and animals. He took pictures of us in action and shared them with us after which was amazing! We found lots of animal tracks and saw stunning scenery! We also loved how he prepared a fire and brought a meal that we enjoyed over the fire and we even made our own bush tea! Thank you so much for considering if we needed a slower pace since I’m pregnant. JS Canada
Another fantastic winter adventure!!
I have the greatest luck ever!!! Been snowed in in Huntsville ... and in the care of "Find Your Wild" hands!!! Hondo took me out for an incredible new winter passion!!! Trying the Hok skis for the first time was super fun!!! I fell a few times, lots of laughs... tons of snow... I can't recommend enough this company!!! If you are an outdoor lover, Hondo is "D' Man" for that!! Tons of experience, knowledgeable, and fun!!! I will definitely come back to keep learning how to HOK!!! I love snowshoeing... and in the process of learning how to x country ski... well, these funny skis do all that and more!!! You don't need manicure trails!!! Just the passion to go out there and to have fun!!!

Hok Skiis - perfect adventure.
Pam guided my boyfriend and I for 3 hours using Hok skiis and it was SO much fun. Their property is beautiful and it was such a perfect day for exploring. I would definitely come back to try more of their activities that they offer in the future. Brittany B
Awesome ABSki Experience! A Must Do......
Hondo is an amazing guide. Debbie and I are both recently retired and avid outdoor enthusiasts. We stayed at Morgan B&B and decided to hire Hondo (findyourwild) for a tour into Algonquin park. We had never hired a guide before but we really wanted to try the Hoc Skis as it was too icy to cross country and this looked like a great alternative to snow shoeing. SO GLAD WE DID. First, Hondo showed us things in the forest and lakes that we had been missing for years and we spend a lot of time in the bush. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. We never felt rushed and he was always checking in with us. A great bush fire with cedar tea mid day and then time to head home. We were also very impressed with the Hoc Skis-a great alternative to bulky snowshoes-and so much more manoeuvrable-we plan to add them to our winter equipment. We plan to do another outing next year. Axe Throwing ; Highly recommend!
I've gone axe throwing twice here and both times it's been a fantastic experience! Some in our group were completely new to axe throwing while others were more experienced, but everyone had a great time. A fun and challenging way to spend a couple of hours in a beautiful area. My group of 9 gals recently visited for a Bachelorette and Hondo made the experience wonderful despite the pouring rain! His passion for the outdoors and creating memorable moments (including top-notch photography skills) for his participants was evident the entire time. He had even set up a temporary axe throwing area in his barn due to the rain, but we all enjoyed venturing into the outdoors to throw on his innovative course! My wife and I went here when we were in Muskoka for a weekend. It’s a great place and you will definitely have a different experience doing archery and axe throwing in the middle of the forest.
Owners Hondo and Pam are very friendly and great coaches. I was doing archery for the second time but he was so very patient in teaching me that in my 12th attempt I hit a bullseye. Pam came up with a new axe throwing game and that made it even more interesting. Overall we would recommend visiting this place at least once when you are in Muskoka. Atit Dharia

My friends and I greatly enjoyed the outdoor activities that Find Your Wild offered! We tried the Archery and Axe Throwing package, and it was such a fun experience! Half-Day Paddle, Snow Shoeing, and Axe Throwing
In the past year we have done these three adventures with Hondo, all three experiences were amazing! Hondo is a great guide, very knowledgeable about wild life (we learned a lot), and is very funny! We have so many great photos of our experiences thanks to his great camera work! It was so nice to not have to worry about taking pics, he would do it for you while you get to fully enjoy the day! Enjoyed great snacks and drinks while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Muskoka! We are looking forward to our full-day paddle adventure next summer! Thanks Hondo & Stanley the dog!:) Danielle M
Great Family Fun!
I have now been there twice. First time was with my husband for our anniversary. We did archery, axe throwing and Paddle boarding. Hondo is very passionate about what he does and provides excellent support and training. I came back a second time with my 8 year old niece for the axe throwing and archery, he was a great instructor and my niece loved the experience. Beautiful location. Megan K
Family Paddleboarding Foray.
We did the 3 hr paddle board activity - my husband and I, and two 4 year olds.
It was fantastic. Well-organized. Hondo was fantastic. Highly knowledgeable, reassuring, patient and fun. Excellent communicator. We had never done paddle boarding and it was just fine - calm river. Just beautiful. My son has already asked to come back. Canuck 19845
Amazing SUP experience!
Amazing experience! We had an incredible time with Find Your Wild! We spent an afternoon with Hondo and Stanley (the dog) paddle boarding! Hondo was an excellent teacher and very knowledgeable. It was a wonderful day and will definitely be coming back! The whole day was very well organized and Hondo is very easy to communicate with. Alana H
We had a fantastic morning's SUP experience where of the 5 people in our party most had limited/no paddle boarding experience but Hondo being the perfect teacher had us up ( proper "Stand Up") Paddleboarding in a relatively short time.
Once up and running we could then enjoy the environment and scenery, taking time to stop for refreshments, play ball and engage in Hondo's local knowledge and love of the outdoors. The whole morning Hondo was the perfect guide taking time to show and explain some of the local river habitat which was at times very different to what we have back home in Scotland.
Can't forget Stanley who demonstrated that 4 legs are better than 2 for Paddle Boarding and perfected the art of moving from board to board whilst keeping dry.
In short, we had a fantastic morning and would recommend Hondo who's love of the outdoor life is contagious and added to the experience which completely exceeded everyone's expectations. David S
Family fun and adventure in the woods!
We had an incredible afternoon with Find Your Wild today. Our family of 5 (kids ages 3.5, 8, 11) spent the afternoon with Hondo in the woods. First we tasted tree sap and got to see how they collect sap and make maple syrup. Then we did a blindfolded rope walk in the forest - it was a perfect challenge for the kids and us. Next we learned archery! Hondo was an excellent teacher and was able to teach appropriately (and distanced) to all our ages. The kids learned proper respect, safety and care of the bow and arrows. Then we got to meet their sheep, donkey and horse and play some age-appropriate velcro axe throwing. Hondo was amazing and the Find Your Wild forest is perfect. I think there is even more to do in the winter and summer - but even at this time they found great activities to keep us busy. We were all engaged and safe and had a perfect, exciting afternoon outdoors! Dentist TO
We have 3 children aged 10, 9 and 5 years old and Hondo was very flexible and patient with them. He had an amazing amount of knowledge about the flora and fauna as well as wilderness skills and taught us all a lot during our wanderings. We started off on SUPs with my 5 year old on my board. My son is nervous around water so he was put in a zodiac. We saw a woodpecker and stopped at a beach for a snack and a play. After a relaxing trip down stream we broke for lunch. When we came back we did a scavenger hunt in the woods with lots of interesting information about all the plants and animals. Along the way we collected various material for fire lighting. This was the highlight for the kids as Hondo is a firefighter on top of being an outdoor teacher. He went through all the different materials from the woods and how to use them for a fire, all the various ways of sparking it and set them up to try 3 different ways of lighting a fire. The kids loved this so much and learned a lot. A great day out, particularly in a year when summer camps have been cancelled. JW

What a great experience; most of us had never thrown an axe before. The owner was a very good teacher and made us feel very comfortable. We had a group of 21 people. The best is it was raining. What a great way to do something outside. It made a crappy day fun. I would highly recommend this. We will be back. Peter H

Best Team event I've ever been to!
I loved this course. The instructor is super knowledgable and is great at making it fun. I wanted to create a bit more of a competition and the staff was able to come up with different and challenging ways to modify each target making it a bit more challenging. Overall everyone in my group loved the event and it brought the team closer together. Can't wait to come back next year! Andrew G
My grade 6 students loved the Skulls and Such program brought to our classroom by Find Your Wild. It was amazing to see the kids reaction to dozens of skulls of different species. The combination of hands on learning and first hand stories was a powerful learning experience. Chris N
