TUBBS Snowshoes

Our top of the line Tubbs snowshoes have user friendly bindings; easy on but won’t fall off.

On ‘safari’ we will make warm bush tea made from native confers and stop for a fire and roast marshmallows and eat s’mores.

Winter weather can change dramatically throughout the day so we recommend dressing in many layers rather than one heavy parka.

Altai Skis

Ride the new winter 'wave' on these light and easy-to-use backcountry skis. Their gripping skin midsection gives great traction for forward motion and uphill climbs. The strong and simple ratcheting binding allows you to use your own comfy winter boots (or you can rent a pair from us for just $10 per day). The extra wide base gives great flotation in deep snow and the short length (125 cms) makes them easy to maneuver. The result? Unlike conventional snowshoes, you can shuffle or glide rather than lift heavy snow caught on the snowshoe toe. You go twice the distance with half the effort. Woo hoo! Come give them a try.

What you need to bring

For SUMMER adventures; sunscreen, swimsuits, towels, camera, water shoes and bug repellent, water bottle and rain jackets.

For WINTER adventures; warm layers of outer clothing, both waterproof and windproof options, warm wool socks and wool ( thermal) under layers, warm waterproof mitts, warm hats and boots. Layers are important as staying comfortable and not too hot will make your day most enjoyable. Staying dry is the key to a happy day in the wilderness. Camera and water bottle complete the list.
